Did you buy a devil's food cake at Schnucks? Take it back

Schnucks Bakery has issued a voluntary recall on devil's food cakes decorated with pecans because the pecans, a known allergen, were not disclosed on the label.

According to the St. Louis-based grocery chain, those who are allergic to pecans and unknowingly purchased the cake may be at risk.

The UPC codes for the cakes are 04131831186 and 04131831078.

These cakes were sold at bakeries in all Schnucks stores in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa. There have been no reports of illness related to this recall.

Those concerned about a possible allergic reaction should contact their physician, Schnucks said in a statement.

Customers can return the cakes to any Schnucks store afor a full refund. For more information, call the Schnucks Consumer Affairs department at (314) 994-4400 or (800) 264-4400.
