DNR shows it's out of touch

June 18, 2014

Who in the world is Scott Simpson and who in the Department of Illinois Natural Resources hired him?

Both of these people need replacing if they want to spend $519,230 of our tax dollars to feed the coyotes in Illinois by bringing in prairie chickens. That's all they're doing.

When was the last time anyone heard a quail calling? It has been more than five years since I've even seen one let alone heard one.

Even foxes have had to move into town to find something to eat. I'm 73 years old and I've seen more foxes and coyotes in Belleville in the last three years than I've seen in my whole life, and I hunted and fished my whole life.

These guys in the DNR must never leave their office and go out in the field and talk to farmers or hunters. If they did, they would know what's going on in the wildlife community.

Quit wasting our tax money on feel-good stupidity.
