Increasing chance of storms later Thursday, Friday

Muggy conditions are expected Thursday across the metro-east when the high temperature will reach 91 degrees with 91 percent humidity.

There is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms in the forecast with the most likely chance for rain coming after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of rain will increase to 40 percent during the evening hours Thursday and the temperature will drop to 73 overnight.

On Friday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies. The high temperature is expected to be 89.

Over the weekend, will continue to be a possibility with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms and a high around 90 on Saturday and Sunday.
