A better option for Aldi's

June 21, 2014

Aldi's wants to build a store in the area. I'm all for progress as long as it makes sense. This does not.

Aldi's wants to rezone a residential neighborhood, tear down homes and displace lifelong residents. This will also create more noise and confusion in an already congested area of Frank Scott Parkway.

If they would look further down West Main Street there is a property that would be more suitable. It was the home of two grocery stores. Why not utilize this area instead?

You wouldn't have to displace residents and you would be improving a depressed area. Makes sense to me.
