The St. Louis Cardinals summoned right-hander Eric Fornataro and shortstop Pete Kozma from Class AAA Memphis on Monday, and the two will take the place of injured pitchers Michael Wacha and Jamie Garcia on the 25-man roster.

Wacha and Garcia were placed on the disabled list with shoulder ailments.

Fornataro and Kozma are expected to be in uniform for the Cards' game Monday night in Colorado.

Fornataro, 26, was 1-2 with a 3.27 ERA and four saves in 22 innings and 19 appearances for Memphis. He posted an 0.87 ERA with three saves in eight games in June for Memphis.

He appeared in seven games earlier this season for the parent club, working 7 2/3 innings.

Kozma, 26, was on the Opening Day roster for the Cardinals, but was just 1-for-3 in four games before he was optioned to Memphis on April 14.

He hit .234 (44-for-188) in 59 games for Memphis, with four home runs and 24 RBIs. Kozma struck out 35 times and walked 26 times for the Redbirds, with an on-base percentage of .341 and a slugging percentage of .372.

Fornataro wears No. 67 for the Cardinals; Kozma wears No. 38.
