Police are looking for four men in a black Pontiac Grand Am who robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint early Tuesday.

The robbery happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Illinois 111 between Gateway Commerce Center Drive and the Flying J Truck Stop in Pontoon Beach, according to Detective Rich Carney of the Pontoon Beach Police Department.

The victim told police he was walking along the road when the car pulled up and one of the people in the car, a light-skinned black man with a short afro haircut that had something shaved into the side of his head, got out, showed a revolver and demanded the victim empty his pockets. All four of the suspects in the car were black males, police said.

Police said the victim was not injured. He was unable to get a license plate number.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pontoon Beach Police Department at 618-931-5100.
