The Edwardsville Police Department has released a composite sketch of a man suspected of attacking a woman on a bike trail Tuesday afternoon.

A woman reported that she had been asked by a man for help for a friend, lured from the trail at the rear of 500 block of Chancellor Drive and grabbed. She escaped and rode her bicycle away before calling police. The incident happened about 2:15 p.m.

The suspect is identified as a black male, 6 feet tall with a thin build and short, black hair. He was wearing a blue, short-sleeve shirt with black shorts with vertical white stripes on the sides.
