A St. Louis man has been sentenced to just over a year in prison for embezzling from a Belleville oil company to support his relationship with an exotic dancer, according to U.S. Attorney Stephen Wigginton.

Kevin D. Dowell, 37, will serve 366 days in prison for wire fraud in a scheme to defraud and embezzle from the FKG Oil Company. Dowell was the manager of FKG's human resources department.

He was convicted of falsifying mileage expense reports, using a company credit card for personal expenses and transferring funds electronically from the company's bank account directly to his personal bank account in Missouri.
