Belle-Clair Speedway is set to host Topless Twin 30s

Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville will be hosting the Topless Twin 30s on Friday for the UMP Late Models and UMP Modifieds.

Drivers remove their roofs of their cars to give the fans an idea of what they go though during a race as well as trying to earn some extra money.

Hooters girls will be available for pictures.

On Tuesday, the UMP Summer Nationals hit Belle-Clair Speedway with a $5,000 to win for the UMP Late Models and $1,000 to win for the UMP Modifieds show.

In 2013, New Berlin's Brandon Sheppard won the big race.

Tri-City Speedway

Pole-sitter Billy Moyer put up a hard fight to pick up his second win in the 2014 DIRTcar Summer Nationals season as he passed Tim Manville on Lap 30 and hung on to win the $10,000 last Friday at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach.

Moyer is tied with Shannon Babb atop the all-time series victory list with 84.

Billy Moyer Jr. was second, Brandon Sheppard was third, Brian Birkhofer was fourth and Babb was fifth.

Defending champ Mike Harrison won the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified National feature race last Friday, taking home $1,000 for his efforts. Michael Long was second and Dean Hoffman was third.

Daniel Heck and Robbie Eilers posted wins in the UMP Pro Crate Late Models features.

Highland Speedway

Highland Speedway will host Family Fun Night and also welcome Girl Scouts on Saturday as part of its weekly racing event.

Federated Auto Parts Raceway

The UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals hit the track at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., on Saturday with a $10,000 to win for UMP Late Models and $1,000 to win for UMP Modifieds.

Many of the region's top drivers are expected to compete. General admission is $28 and children 12-under are free. Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:15 p.m.
