Shiloh men charged after armed robbery at convenience store

Two Shiloh men were charged Friday with felonies after a gas station convenience store was robbed Thursday.

The two suspects are accused of robbing the Circle K at 2411 Lebanon Ave. Thursday. One suspect displayed a firearm and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the gas station, according to Shiloh Detective Jesse Phillips.

Deandre L. LePrade, 22, of the 100 block of Rockwood Court, was charged with armed robbery while armed with a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Michael L. Jackson III, 19, of the 100 block of Rockwood Court, was charged with armed robbery with a firearm.

Police from the O'Fallon Police Department, the Swansea Police Department, and the Illinois State Police helped Shiloh Police locate two suspects leaving the area in a vehicle. They were taken into custody, Phillips said.

Both men were being held at the St. Clair County Jail Friday. The bail for LePrade was $300,000. The bail for Jackson was set at $200,000.
