Thunderstorms possible Tuesday; cool and clear rest of the week

A 30 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast for Tuesday when the high temperature is expected to reach 88 degrees in the metro-east.

The best chances for rain are before 10 a.m. and then again in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight skies will be partly cloudy with a low of 65.

Cool weather and mostly sunny skies will move in Wednesday and last through the weekend.

On Wednesday the high will be 77, on Thursday it will be 78, on Friday it will be 80 and on Saturday it will be 82.
