$5,000 reward offered for info on bike trail attacker

Madison County Transit is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who attacked a woman on the MCT Nature Trail last week.

The incident happened about 2:15 p.m. June 24 when an 18-year-old woman was lured off the trail by the man, claiming that a friend needed help. The women was then grabbed and pulled to the ground, but managed to escape without serious injury.

The suspect is described as a black male, 16 to 20 years of age, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. The suspect has a thin build and short black hair.
