Speaker should sue Obama

July 2, 2014

Dear Editor,

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.” - Thomas Jefferson

By the time you read this, it will be old news. But in case you haven’t heard, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives has filed a lawsuit against President Barack Obama. Lawyers will make the lawsuit impossible for the common man to understand. However, in principle, it is a valiant attempt to half the President’s usurpation of power he does not have under the Constitution.

The oath of office which each president must take says: “I do solemnly swear or (affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will do the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States.”

We have seen the Constitution ignored, trampled upon, and gravely injured by this president. It’s his way or the highway by executive order. Little wonder Speaker Boehner has chosen to no longer sit idly by while we the people continue suffer the ravages of government run amuck.

My hats off to ya’ Mr. Speaker for saying enough is enough. We the people have been saying it for a long, long time.
