Obama's power checked

July 6, 2014

The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled against President Obama's recess appointments. Yet again, an abuse of power.

On top of the missing e-mails in the IRS, we now learn that Lois Lerner, the famous political operative in the IRS, jumped at the chance to audit Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, who had not even accepted an invitation to a political event. I think this aptly demonstrates the abuse of power in this administration.

As a reminder to his fervent supporters, candidate Obama in 2007 promised to bring the Veteran's Affairs medical system "into the 2lst century." Seems it's more like the 18th century under his watch.

Even Dana Milbank, hardly a conservative columnist, laments that Obama spends way too much time golfing while seemingly the Middle East and the VA hospital system are falling apart.
