Betty June Ford Allen, 88

Betty June Ford Allen, 88, of Troy died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at her home.

A funeral service was held on July 7 at First Baptist Church in Highland, with Dale Corn, member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church in Edwardsville, and Elder Jim Ridings officiating. Burial was in Highland City Cemetery. Richeson Funeral Home in Troy was in charge of arrangements.

She was born on March 29, 1926, in Ethel, Mo., to Glen and Francis “Fannie” (Ethridge) Pritchard.

She was a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church in Edwardsville. She owned and operated the Cahokia Floral and Gifts Shop in Cahokia for many years and was a member of Jarvis Township Senior Citizens. She enjoyed her time traveling, playing bingo and her flowers both growing and arranging them.

Survivors include her children, Raymond (Brenda) Ford of Highland, and Beverly J. (Philippe L. Belonni) Szopinski of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Greg, Jeff and Bryan Craine, David and Adam Ford and Terri Moss; and great-grandchildren, Kathy, Nick, Matthew, Greg, Zach and Jacob Craine, Cole, Noah and Trey Moss, and Arabella and Savannah Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John Eugene Ford.

Memorials may be made to Jarvis Township Senior Center or Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church.
