Raymond "Butch" George Fix Sr.

Raymond “Butch” George Fix Sr., 94, of Lebanon, Ill., passed away on Monday, July 7 at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Lebanon, Ill.

Butch was born on December 27, 1919 in Sugar Creek Township, Ill.. He worked as Bottler for Stag Brewery/Bottling Plant, and was a former Farmer. Butch was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church, a member of the O'Fallon Senior Citizens, the Farm Bureau, and former member of the Square Dance Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Josephine Fix, nee Hoh; wife, Mildred Fix, nee Kueker; daughter, Marguerite Billups; son, Lyle Fix; 4 brothers, Johnny Fix, Richard Fix, Elmer Fix, and Lawrence Fix; and sister, Helen Fix.

Butch is survived by his children, Marlin & Sandy Fix of Aviston, Ill., Donald Fix of Columbus, Ohio, Dennis Fix of O’Fallon, Ill., Gerald Fix of Lebanon, IL, Joe Fix of O’Fallon, Ill., Raymond Fix Jr. of Summerfield, Ill., Darlene Goodwin of Smithton, Ill., and Cheryl Berry of Lebanon, Ill.; son-in-law, Edward Billups of O’Fallon, Ill., siblings, Vera & Albert Juenger of Smithton, Ill., Aurelia Agne of Belleville, Ill., and Irvin & Bernadine Fix of Belleville, Ill., great-grandson, Chad Khron; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.schildknechtfh.com

Visitations will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 10 at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave. O’Fallon, and at 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, July 11 at Faith Lutheran Church, 520 E. U.S. Highway 50 O’Fallon, IL 62269.

Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 11 at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Downs officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schildknecht Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
