Free back-to-school immunizations in St. Clair County

News-DemocratJuly 8, 2014

The Swansea Rotary Club is teaming with the St. Clair County Health Department to offer free back-to-school immunizations and dental and eye exams.

The clinic will be held from 2-6 p.m. July 16 at High Mount School, 1721 Boul Avenue in Swansea.

All St. Clair County children, aged 2 months to 18 years, qualify for the free immunizations, if:

* they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian;

* have a copy of the child's current immunization record with them; and

* they do not have health insurance that covers the immunizations.

Also, free dental exams will be offered by Miles for Smiles for all students. Dental exams are required for kindergarten, second and sixth grades.

In addition, vouchers will be given out for free eye exams for students who require them prior to entering the next grade.
