Asking too much of America

July 14, 2014

Sometimes I think that BND letter writer Kevin Gagen is not a real person. No one in his right mind could possibly suggest that this country can take in, feed, clothe, furnish housing, medical care and educate everyone who chooses to cross our borders illegally. He doesn't even suggest who is to pay for this largess for law breakers.

What's next? Ship loads of kids from India, China and Africa landing in Mexico and with the help of the Mexican government pouring into our country?

I have a swell idea. Gagen and his liberal bleeding heart buddies in Hollywood should volunteer to give half of their yearly income to support all these illegals. And I don't care if these law breakers were blond-haired, blue-eyed Swedes, they should be sent home. And as always Gagen tries to make this disaster a racial problem.

No one is saying we should close our borders to everyone, only those who choose to break our laws and enter illegally. Of course, President Obama can't seem to make up his mind about what to do with these law breakers. They don't call flip-flops Obama shoes for nothing. Every time one of Obama's ill-conceived actions results in a catastrophe, he blames it on the Republicans.

I have a riddle: What's the difference between Obama and a jet engine? You can turn a jet engine off and it quits whining.

Gagen seems to think that the inscription on a statue supersedes our laws.
