Too late to save a friend

July 16, 2014

A stop sign was placed three weeks too late.

My dear friend Andrew Brown died as a result of the city not placing the extra sign and a man who ran the stop. I heard that the city approved the three-way stop but the signs had not been placed yet on A and Second streets. Then three weeks to the day of his death, the sign was there -- a little too late to save our friend.

This corner has been the home of many accidents and now has claimed the life of our friend. Hopefully more people will be more aware and stop before someone else's life is taken. And watch for motorcycles.
