Jospeh (Joe) and Margaret (Maggie) Blaies of Fairview Heights celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 13, 2014 with a family dinner at Ravanelli’s Restaurant in O’Fallon, IL.

Joe and the former Margaret Meyer were married on July 10, 1954 at St. Jospeh Catholic Church in East St. Louis by Msgr. Thomas Driscoll.

Joe is a retired manager of the Caseyville Township Sewer System and is active with Holy Trinity Church, Area Wide Management Coordinating Board and Knights of Columbus.

Maggie is retired from the St. Clair County Highway Dept. and is active with Fairview Heights Garden Club and Holy Trinity Church. They enjoy camping, fishing, golfing and gardening.

They have two children: Patty (Tom) Chesley of Shiloh and Joe (Sheila Plunkett) Blaies of St. Louis, MO.

They have six grandchildren: Amanda Chesley JD, Clayton CTP (Katie) Frauenfelder, Joel CPA (Yenny) Blaies, Lauren CPA (Anthony) Randazzo, Tommy Chesley and Russell Chesley.

They have three great-grandchildren: Amelie Elyana Blaies, Gretchen Margaret Frauenfelder, and Parker Chesley.
