News-DemocratJuly 18, 2014

The high temperature Friday in the metro-east will be 80 degrees as area residents enjoy the tail end of a weather system that has treated the area to unseasonably cool conditions.

Skies will be cloudy in the morning, according to the National Weather Service. But they're expected to gradually clear starting in the mid-morning hours.

On Saturday a gradual warm-up will begin with a high of 82 under mostly sunny skies.

The high will be 85 on Sunday with normal temperatures returning Monday when the high will be 89. Mostly sunny skies are expected both days
