• Registration for the 2008-2009 school year for students currently attending District 90 schools and for all kindergarten students will take place at each student’s home school from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15. Currently registered students, new students and kindergartners may also register for next school year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at each home school or from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Moye Elementary School, 1010 Moye School Road. • The monthly character education assembly will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 12. • The Fulton Junior High School chorus will perform for Evans students on Tuesday, May 13. Hinchcliffe

• An all school Reading Counts picnic will be held Tuesday, May 13. • Wednesday, May 14, is a dinner out night at Cold Stone Creamery, 3228 Green Mount Crossing.

Shiloh District 85

• The middle school academics and athletics awards night will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the gymnasium. • Third graders will take a field trip to the City Museum in St. Louis from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13. • Wednesday, May 14, is a Penn Station East Coast Subs dinner out night benefiting Shiloh Middle School. A percentage of sales between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. will go to the school if customers use special fliers available from the school when placing orders. • The seventh annual Shiloh District 85 art show is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the elementary school, 125 Diamond Court. The exhibit will have more than 1,000 original art pieces. The event also will features a creative environment in the gym for children, and adults, to make and take art home. The creative stations will feature activities such as flying dragons, inflatable bubble, stamping patterns, Native American rubbings, VIP name tag design, building blocks, airplane design, animal mask and origami fortune tellers. St. Clare Catholic School

• First and eighth graders will take a field trip to Carlyle Lake from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 12. • Fourth graders will take a field trip to the Baldwin Power Station from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13. • The annual eighth grade trip to Chicago will take place Wednesday and Thursday, May 14 and 15. • The assembly Schoolhouse Rock Live will be presented for students in first through fifth grades at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15. • There is no school Friday, May 16.

New Enterprise Academy

• NEA students raised $500.30 for Scholastic Publishing’s One For Books challenge by collecting their loose change last week. The publisher will match the school’s donation and provide $1,000 worth of books for needy children through the National Literacy Program. In addition, the publisher will provide $1, 000 worth of books for the school’s library. • NEA’s April character trait was fairness. Students recognized for going above and beyond in treating others fairly and equally are Yousef Mahmood, Tori Ehlers, Gage Hartsell, MiKayla Dukes, Kirsten Brown, Adam Mahmood, Caleb Walton, Syndey Linden, Garrett Spellman, Grace Norgaard, Abdullah Almousalli, Colin Henry, Jadyn Appel and Reid Ellerbrake. • NEA students and families will be walking in the O’Fallon Mayfest Parade on Saturday, May 17. • Open enrollment for NEA is now underway. First Baptist Academy

• Fourth through eighth grade students will present a choir program at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15. • Eighth grade graduation will be held in the Youth Center at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16. • A school talent show and awards presentation program will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20. • Wednesday, May 21, is field day. Students in kindergarten through fifth grades will participate from 9 to 11 a.m. and students in sixth through eighth grades from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
