For years before he was found in a Troy cemetery on Wednesday morning, Chad Bell struggled with opiate abuse.

State Rep. Ron Stephens is facing a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Stephens, 62, was ticketed Monday night by the Decatur Police for improper lane usage and driving under the influence.
The Highland High School varsity dance team was not only the best in its class in the state with all three of its routines. But the Lady Bulldogs’ three routines ranked as the top three of all the 159 total performances from the 91 teams at the 31st annual Illinois Drill Team Association State Finals Saturday at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Assembly Hall.

Illinois farmers have until March 15 to sign up for Non-insured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAPS) coverage and also crop insurance on most spring-seeded crops.
