Belleville West graduate hopes to turn heads at NFL Combine

Former University of Wyoming WY Cowboys football running back and Belleville IL West High School Maroons graduate Brian Hill has been invited to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis IN where he will perform skills and physical testing at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts, ahead of the NFL draft.

Highest pay in nation not good enough for Illinois workers

Members of Illinois’ largest state employee union, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, authorized a strike. It would be interesting to see what happens if the highest-paid state workers in the nation do strike over another $3 billion in pay. The fear is that they drive up taxes even more and accelerate the jobs moving out of Illinois.
