Job finder fairs scheduled for Fridays in June

The Sanford-Brown College Campus in Collinsville will hold a job finder fair Friday to help unemployed people learn how to find jobs, write a resume and conduct an interview with a potential employer.

The fair will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Additional job finder fairs will be held at the same time at the Collinsville campus at 1101 Eastport Plaze Drive on June 19 and June 26.

"With all the job layoffs locally and the difficulty people are having finding jobs, we wanted to do something to help," said Bonnie Rohe, career services director at Sanford-Brown College in St. Peters, Mo. "Our career services professionals can offer an outside perspective that a job-seeker may not have considered."

Job hunters can arrive any time during the Friday afternoon events. Trained career services professionals will offer career counseling and advice on interviewing, online job searches, networking, and how to update skill sets to remain competitive.

Individuals will have access to the college computers and printers during the event.
