BELLEVILLE -- A Swansea woman was killed Sunday morning after her car suddenly swerved from the road and struck a tree.
Belleville Police Capt. Don Sax said 55-year-old Deborah S. Osborne was dead at the scene in the 1900 block of 17th Street in Belleville. Sax said police were called to the scene at approximately 10:12 a.m. He said the woman had just left her home at the Jamestown Apartments, at 1803 Jamestown Road when she drove into the tree.
Sax said the woman suffered multiple traumas. No one else was in the victim's car and no other drivers or pedestrians were injured in the one-car crash.
