Crack nets Madison man 27 years in pen, Washington Park man 5 years

A 25-year-old Madison man on Friday was sentenced to more than 27 years in federal prison for his role in a crack dealing conspiracy and a 46-year-old Washington Park man received a five-year sentence for dealing crack.

Isaiah J. Gregory, 25, of Madison on March 11 pleaded guilty to dealing and conspiring to deal crack and cocaine hydrochloride near a public housing complex. His 27 years and three months in prison will be followed by five years of supervised release.

His two co-defendants previously were sentenced.

The case was investigated by the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Deirdre A. Durborow prosecuted the case.

Brian Holley, 46, of Washington Park, was sentenced Friday to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty March 19 to possessing and planning to deal cocaine base. Holley was arrested in a Fairview Heights hotel room on Nov. 25, 2007, with more than 15 grams of cocaine base.

The DEA and Fairview Heights Police Department investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert L. Garrison prosecuted the case.
