Edwardsville, Dupo, Columbia and Mascoutah fireworks rescheduled for Sunday

The weather is raining on local parades, picnics and fireworks displays.

The following community events have been rescheduled for Sunday due to weather:

* Edwardsville's Fireworks at the American Legion (across fromWoodland School) will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday with music, food and dancing and with fireworks at dusk.

* Dupo's Picnic in the Park will take place from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday with the fireworks show at dusk at Community Park.

* Columbia's fireworks will be at 9:15 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion Memorial Park.

* Mascoutah's picnic will begin at noon Sunday with the fireworks rescheduled to 9:30 p.m. at Scheve Park.

Fireworks events still scheduled for Saturday as of 1 p.m. include: Freeburg, Grafton, Granite City, Greenville, Millstadt, Steeleville, Troy.

Information on fireworks in Alhambra, Lebanon and Valmeyer was not immediately available Saturday.
