St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville will hold a free public presentation next week about managing diabetes.
The "Living Health with Diabetes" program will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 in the Millennium Room at the hospital.
Dr. Ahmed Radwan, a family physician, and Stacey Hecht, a registered dietitian, will present the program and focus on the disease process and management of adult onset diabetes. The program will include information about exercise, diet and medications. In addition, an Abott Diabetes Care representative will be available to give attendees free glucometers and demonstrate how to use them.
Attendees will also be able to register to attend additional in-depth group-learning sessions on diabetes management during August.
