ST. LOUIS -- Longtime national hockey analyst and former NHL goaltender Darren Pang will replace Hall of Famer Bernie Federko as color analyst on St. Louis Blues telecasts on Fox Sports Midwest.
Pang will work alongside play-by-play announcer John Kelly.
Federko spent four years on the radio side before joining the television broadcast team eight years ago. He will remain on the broadcast team providing ice-level commentary, also working on the pregame and postgame shows.
Pang has been a television analyst with the Phoenix Coyotes for the past four seasons. Before that he spent 12 years with ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC as a hockey analyst.
"We're thrilled to add Darren Pang to our TV team," said Jack Donovan, Fox Sports Midwest General Manager and Senior Vice President said in a release. "We have increased the number of Blues telecasts on Fox Sports Midwest and we're sure the knowledgeable St. Louis fans will appreciate Darren's insights alongside the analysis of John and Bernie throughout the season."
Blues President John Davidson knows Pang well from his days in broadacasting.
"Darren is one of the top analysts in our game and a true professional," Davidson said in a release. "Teaming him with John, and adding Bernie between the benches will improve our telecasts for our fans and forms, what we think, will be one of the premier broadcast teams in the sport."
