Investigators on Monday morning identified the 35-year-old Coulterville man who shot his in-laws before using the shotgun on himself.
Brian Morrison, 35, just before midnight Saturday shot Tamara Carroll, 46, and Stanley Garbs, 52, both of Marissa, according to the Randolph County Sheriff's Department. They were the parents of his wife, Misti Morrison.
The bodies of all three were found in the driveway of the Morrison residence, said Randolph County Sheriff Fred Frederking.
According to police, Morrison's wife on Saturday night called her parents to come pick up her and her children during a domestic dispute with Morrison. Morrison shot Carroll and Garbs when they arrived, then used the 12-guage shotgun on himself.
Morrison's wife called 9-1-1 after her parents were shot and Brian Morrison shot himself before help could arrive. She and the children were unharmed.
