An O'Fallon man will most likely be ticketed for causing a collision that backed up traffic Friday afternoon at the busy intersection of Green Mount Road and Frank Scott Parkway in Shiloh.
The Shiloh Police Department and O'Fallon Fire Department responded about 1 p.m. to the crash that involved a car and a delivery truck.
The driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Impala was traveling south on Greenmount when he turned left at the intersection, in front of the northbound King's Beauty Supply Chevrolet box truck. The truck hit the passenger side of the car, said Shiloh Sgt. Josh Donovan.
The driver of the Impala was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. He will be charged with a traffic violation, Donovan said.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
Police helped direct traffic during the 45 minutes it took emergency workers to direct traffic.
