U.S. marshals seek Alton sex offender

Deputy U.S. marshals are searching for a 30-year-old registered sex offender from Alton who they say violated his parole and is considered armed and dangerous.

Adam D. "Honkey" Brown is 6 feet tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Brown has a tattoo of a tear on his left cheek, a swastika on his back, a Confederate flag on his right arm, a Grim Reaper with the words "White Power" and a swastika on his left forearm.

On Saturday, Brown removed his GPS monitor and left his registered address without notification.

Brown also has addresses in Granite City.

Brown was convicted of repeatedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old runaway from Collinsville for a month in 2005, using methamphetamine and other drugs to intoxicated the girl.

If you see or have contact with Brown, who is considered to be armed and dangerous, do not to attempt to apprehend him. Call 911, the Illinois Department of Corrections Operations Center at (877) 795-4519 or the U.S. Marshals at (618) 482-9336.
