A Missouri woman was charged Monday with three counts of felony residential burglary in burglaries that occurred in Collinsville and Maryville.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department took Cynthia C. Kremer, 33, of 8836 Greencrest Lane in Crestwood, Mo., into custody at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, Capt. Brad Wells stated in a news release.

A resident in the 200 block of West Country Lane in Collinsville notified police after the fact that a female, later identified as Kremer, came to the home and requested to use the restroom.

Kremer stole prescription medication from the home after the homeowners let use their restroom. She told them she had tried to use a nearby public restroom, but it was out of order.

While the deputy was talking to the homeowner, Kremer's vehicle drove by.

The deputy stopped the black Dodge Neon with Missouri license plates on Wagon Wheel Road in Collinsville. He found evidence in the vehicle that the suspect had committed burglaries at two other residences -- on Wagon Wheel Road in Collinsville and on Pleasant Ridge Road in Maryville, Wells stated.

Kremer is being held at the Madison County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.
