The group Helping Others Pursue Excellence will sponsor a workshop on Internet safety, at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., Saturday in the lower level of the New Christian fellowship Church, 10090 Old Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights.
The workshop will be presented by the Illinois State Police and will last about an hour. Organizers describe the workshop as an eye-opening discovery of what actually is on some of the Internet's most popular sites and how to deter Internet predators.
