Two Collinsville men were charged Friday after deputies investigated two rural Troy residential burglaries that took place in September.

Rusty L. Davidson, 43, of 915 Indiana Ave., and Donaciano J. Luna, 22, of 153 Troy Road, were both charged with two counts of felony residential burglary, Madison County Sheriff's Lt. Mike Dixon stated in a news release.

In both burglaries, the suspects forced entry into unoccupied homes and stole personal property such as firearms, televisions, computers and jewelry.

Investigators took Luna into custody Wednesday, and recovered the firearms and other articles of evidence related to the investigation after searching his residence. Luna also was charged with felony unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Davidson was charged Oct. 23 with residential burglary and battery after an Oct. 22 incident in the 600 block of South Liberty Road in Collinsville. The homeowner interrupted a burglary, and Davidson reportedly punched the homeowner in the face before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Davidson surrendered to investigators on Thursday, and was taken into custody without incident.

Luna is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail and Davidson is being held in lieu of $175,000 bail.
