closeA new barbecue restaurant has moved into the Flying J Travel Plaza, at the intersection of Illinois 15 and Interstate 255 in Alorton.
City Limits BBQ is located at 140 Racehorse Drive and has a menu that includes barbecue ribs, chicken, pork, pulled pork and a variety of side dishes. The meat is smoked, roasted and steamed.

In neighboring Centreville, Crown Food Mart Shopping Center is a new shopping center that will be bringing new retail to town. Majed Abusaid, president of Crown Food Marts, recently completed construction of the $3.8 million plaza. A new grocery store and gas station have already opened for business, and six more tenants are planning to occupy the remaining storefronts. Centreville Mayor Mark Jackson said those businesses will include a cellphone store, beauty supply store, sports bar, clothing store and a hair and nail salon.
"I couldn't be more happy with this with the economy we have now," Jackson said. "To see a new development like this in Centreville, it's a long time coming."...
In downtown Collinsville, a new bar and grill opened its doors earlier this month. Dale Schlonat has established Brewhaus on Main at 102 W. This morning, Metro will cut the ribbon on its new $4.3 million paint building. The 9,600-square-foot building is located at the MetroLink Maintenance Yard at 2901 St. Clair Ave. in East St. Louis and will be used as space for repainting MetroLink light-rail train cars. Metro operates the public transportation system in the St. Louis region. MetroLink includes 87 light-rail cars that travel over 46 miles of track through St. Clair and St. Louis counties. ...
