I disagree with the editor's view about integrity existing in the election process if East St. Louis residents vote to give their election department to St. Clair County. The same corrupt practices exist in villages and cities already under the county's electoral jurisdiction, practices such as buying votes, politicians not residing in the areas they represent, voters not living at the addresses they give, and the slow removal of dead people from the rolls.
