Katie Hempen transferring to Pac-12’s ASU Sun Devils

Katie Hempen made a huge splash in her initial introduction to Division I basketball this past season at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as she was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Now, the Highland High School Lady Bulldogs’ second all-time career scorer will take her talents to a much bigger stage as she is transferring to Arizona State University. The Sun Devils compete in the Pac-12 Conference, which is one of the NCAA’s six power conferences.
