Shrine to hold healing Novena

The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate invite the public to the 71st Annual Healing and Hope Novena.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Aug. 5 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville.

Each evening will feature preaching, music, healing rituals, prayers and a candlelight rosary procession. Thanksgiving for healing received will take place on Aug. 5, the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Snows.

Collingsworths to perform in Salem

The Collingsworth Family, an award-winning Southern gospel music group, will perform at First Christian Church in Salem.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Friday (doors open at 6). The church is at 1200 W. Boone St.

"Seussical Jr." to take the stage

St. Paul United Church of Christ Youth Music Ministries in Belleville will present the musical "Seussical Jr." under the direction of Kurt Taylor.

The Pentecostals of Troy will celebrate their first anniversary at their new location, 8965 Route 163 in Troy.

Mother's Day Out has openings

Fall classes are forming for the Mother's Day Out program of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Belleville.

Limited openings are available for children ages 3 and 4. Classes meet from 9:40 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Beacon Pathway to Hope 5K is today

Team FURST from First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville will participate in the Beacon Pathway to Hope 5K Run/Walk.

Registration will take place from 7 to 7:45 a.m. today at Belleville West High School, 4063 Frank Scott Parkway West. The race begins at 8 a.m.

The cost is $30 for adults; $10 for children participating in the Fun Run.
