ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, JULY 28

Antonio R. Jones Jr., 44, of 1400 Missouri Ave., Apt. D-309, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of arson and threatening a public official on or about July 24 by East St. Louis police. Jones allegedly, by means of fire, knowingly damaged a motor vehicle, a maroon 1992 Chevrolet Van, of George Jenkins Jr., located at 1400 Missouri Ave., East St. Louis, with a value over $150; knowingly and willfully delivered to Robert Sallie, a police officer from the City of East St. Louis, a public official, a threat that would place Robert Sallie in reasonable apprehension of future bodily harm, and the threat was conveyed because of the performance of his public duties.

Earl Hood, 38, of 3728 Cottage Ave., St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of forgery on or about July 24 by East St. Louis police. Hood allegedly, with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered to the Casino Queen, a business, located at 200 S. Front St., East St. Louis, a document apparently capable of defrauding another, in that it was purported to have been made by another, Earl Hood, being a check, drawn on the Bank of America, payable to Earl Hood in the amount of $500, knowing the document to have been thus made.

Robert J. Blasingame, 56, of 1713 W. U.S. Highway 50, Lot 97, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on a suspended or revoked driver's license on or about July 25 by O'Fallon police Blasingame allegedly drove a Ford pickup truck on West Highway 50 in O'Fallon, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Oct. 6, 2009.

Pedro C. Staten, 20, of 614 N. 31st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal sex abuse between April 10, 2014 and May 10, 2014 by East St. Louis police. Staten allegedly, who was 17 years of age or older, knowingly committed an act of sexual abuse with a female minor, initials L.R., date of birth, Aug. 10, 2000, who was at least 13 years of age but under 17 years of age.

Booker T. Grisby Jr., 35, of 1428 Richard Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis on or about July 25 by St. Clair County sheriff. Grisby allegedly, had in his possession more than 30 but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Christal L. Irvin, 31, of 919 Werner Road, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and obstructing ID on or about July 25 by Swansea police. Irvin allegedly, had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin; furnished a false name to Cheryl Venorsky, a peace officer for the Village of Swansea, who had lawfully detained said defendant.

Olajuwon K. Johnson, 20, of 76 W. Adams, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of two counts of residential burglary and resisting a police officer on or about July 17 by Cahokia police. Johnson allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of John Horton, located at 913 Juliet, Apt. 3, Cahokia, with the intent to commit theft therein; entered into the dwelling place of Stanley Shannon, located at 72 W. Adams, Cahokia, with the intent to commit theft therein; knowingly resisted the performance of Troy DeRossett of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Olajuwon Johnson, knowing Troy DeRossett to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he ran from Troy DeRossett, and the actions of the defendant were the proximate cause of the injury to Troy DeRossett.

Eugene Moore Jr., 32, of 10428 Count Drive, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft and obstructing ID on or about July 26 by Swansea police. Moore allegedly, took merchandise from Schnuck's, 2665 N. Illinois, Swansea, being bottles of liquor, total retail value in excess of $300; knowingly furnished a false name to Cheryl Venorsky, a peace officer for the Village of Swansea, who had lawfully detained said defendant.

Brandon V. Oertel, 21, of 7489 Route 111, Piasa, arrested on suspicion of theft on or about July 26 by Fairview Heights police. Oertel allegedly, took merchandise from JC Penney, Fairview Heights, being several pairs of shorts, total retail value not in excess of $300.

Dayhna Samuel, 40, of 2322 N. 48th St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of criminal sexual assault between July 25 and July 26 and aggravated criminal sexual abuse on or about July 26 by East St. Louis police. Samuel allegedly, the father of a female minor, with the initials T.S., date of birth, May 22, 1998, knowingly committed an act of sexual assault; knowingly committed an act of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on July 26 to a female minor, initials T.S., date of birth, May 22, 1998.

Lydell L. Williams, 36, of 2603 St. Marys Drive, Hannibal, Mo., arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on a suspended driver's license by Fairview Heights police. Williams allegedly, drove a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon on West State Route 161 in Fairview Heights, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendants driving privileges were suspended.

Alexandria M. Reed, 21, of 200 N. 45th St., 7, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of reckless discharge of a firearm on or about July 26 by Belleville police. Reed allegedly, endangered the bodily safety of Napolean Williams in that Alexandria Reed, in that, while acting in a reckless manner, she discharged a firearm and in doing so shot the gun in the air in the near vicinity of Napolean Williams.

TUESDAY, JULY 29

James T. Papproth, 25, of 1 St. Martin St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of theft on or about June 13 by St. Clair County sheriff. Papproth allegedly, obtained property of Karen Neff, being a store and a refrigerator, total value not in excess of $500. Defendant had been previously convicted of Theft on Dec. 20, 2012.
