Handlebars & Guitars Benefit Ride -- Saturday, beginning Ted's Motorcycle World in Alton and ending at Alton Wood River Sportsmen's Club in Godfrey. Registration: 8 a.m.-noon; kickstands up 12:30 p.m. Arrive at the Music Fest at Alton Wood River Sportsmen's Club in Godfrey. Hosted by Patches & Badges for Kids, a local charity comprised of first responders, motorcycle enthusiasts and volunteers. The charity assists children in need through the annual Christmans Shop program and emergency assistance throughout the year. Registration fee will include entry into the Coors Light Music Festival featuring 10 hours of music, including Jana Kramer, Big & Rich, Jac Freeze, Broseph E. Restore Ecological Habitats -- 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Willoughby Heritage Farm & Conservation Reserve and Arlington Wetlands, 631 Willoughby Lane, Collinsville. Students will restore vital ecological habitats to help restore Illinois prairie, wetland and native woodland area. They also plan on clearing and mulching part of the trail systems and repairing trail erosion issues along bridges and steep hills. Information: 618-346-7529.

EXHIBITS

"Belleville Celebrates" -- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday and by appointment, Richard "Pete" Kern Memorial Gallery, at the Victorian Home Museum, 701 E. Washington St., Belleville. This new exhibit will explore how Belleville celebrated the anniversary of its founding at three points in the past: 1914, 1964 and 1989. The Refinery Project: Images of Beauty and Industry by Tom Atwood -- through Aug. 22, Edwardsville Arts Center, 6165 Center Grove Road, Edwardsville. Tom Atwood is a photographer in Edwardsville specializing in portraits and landscape images. This exhibit focuses on the Phillips 66 oil refinery.

"Beauty in the Beast" -- 5-8 p.m. through Aug. 30, Jacoby Arts Center, 627 E. Broadway, Alton. A juried exhibition of artful animals, real or imagined as sponsored by Goulding's Jewelers with support from Daniel/Randall Veterinary Clinic and Inlandesign Inc.
