LIBRARY SERVICES: The Fairview Heights Library has expanded their services with the addition of downloadable audio books and eBooks. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime by visiting library2go.info.
To check out, users will need a valid library card, pin number, personal computer and Internet connection. Patrons will need to install the Overdrive Media Console free software.
RED CROSS CLASSES: St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese is offering an American Red Cross First Aid and Safety class at 6 p.m. Monday in the Heritage Room at the hospital.
Those who successfully complete the course will receive a three-year certification from the Red Cross.

IDENTIFYING ABUSE CLASS: St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese and the Kaskaskia Special Education District will host "Identifying, Reporting and Preventing Abuse/Neglect" from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the hospital HealthPlex.
The program is free for Kaskaskia Special Education District teachers and $10 for non-district teachers.

OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS: The St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness group is hosting several events in September in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
One event is the 2K9 Trail Ride for Ovarian Cancer Awareness. The ride will be Sept. 10-12. Two survivors and two husbands of patients will bicycle the entire length of the Katy Trail (225 miles in three days). Proceeds raised will go to the group to aid in awareness and research of ovarian cancer.

Also, a Fall Fashion Luncheon will be at noon Sept. 25 at Ces and Judyis, 10405 Clayton Road, St. Louis.

GOLF FUNDRAISER: A fundraiser to benefit the Waterloo High School golf team (boys and girls) will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
