I woke up one recent morning. It was very cold but the sun was shining through the window. It made it feel warm and comfortable and good to be alive. I’m thankful for this and to live in a country like ours, the United States of America.
Our forefathers set aside one day each year, the last Thursday in November, for families and friends to gather together and set aside all their differences; reminisce of times gone by; smile, laugh and sometimes cry.
I’m so thankful that they had the foresight to set aside just such a day, Thanksgiving. We should all honor this day and take a moment to be thankful for the many things within our respective lives.
Life can be challenging and difficult at times but you go on. Then the sun comes up in a clear blue sky and for some strange reason you feel new, fresh and ready to take on the world.
Today take the most precious thing you have in life, a moment of your time, and say thanks for the memories. Put your shopping aside; you’ll have plenty time to shop. Let people have that moment of time to be thankful.
