Congratulations to Elaine Laws, a teacher and play director at Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville.
On Nov. 14 I, my brother, Russell Krause and R.J. Krause All-Stars Jada Pickens and Aanyla Edwards enjoyed watching the play “12 Angry Jurors” at Althoff. Laws was the producer and director.
“12 Angry Jurors” was similar to a 1957 black-and-white movie “12 Angry Men.” This story takes place in a court building on a hot day with no air conditioning. This case is a murder case with a jury.
When we enter the theater, we saw seats on the floor surrounding a table with 12 chairs (jurors), a window and a door. These were not on the stage but on the floor.
Never miss a local story.
The actors/actresses did a fabulous job. There were all great seats. You can really see the facial expressions of the actors and actresses.
Laws will have two more plays at Althoff this school year: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Honk.”
