Who to call if you suspect child abuse

If you suspect child abuse, call the Child Abuse Hotline in Springfield that is operated 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Call 1-800-252-2873 ( 1-800-25-ABUSE) or 1-217-524-2606. If you are out of state, use 217-524-2606.

If you have a concern about a Department of Children and Family Services worker who has been assigned to a child abuse case, you may call the Office of the Inspector General for DCFS hotline at 1-800-722-9124.
