James Maher of the St. Louis Metro East office of Merrill Lynch was one of the sponsors for the American Heart Association’s 2008 Metro St. Louis Start! Heart Walk.
Maher partnered with the Heart Association and Belleville Memorial Hospital to sponsor a health screening tent stationed at the Gateway Grizzlies GCS Stadium, the site for Start! Heart Walk.
Visitors to the health tent were offered free blood pressure, body mass index and Pulsox blood oxygen saturation tests, and a medical expert from Memorial Hospital was on hand to answer questions. “Merrill Lynch is honored to be affiliated with the American Heart Association, which is an outstanding organization focused on reducing coronary heart disease, stroke and risk,” Maher said, who also serves as vice chairman for Heart Walk 2008. “The Heart Walk community event helps to inspire people to live healthier lives through physical activity and heart-healthy choices.”
