I had the privilege of doing a radio interview this past Friday, the Fourth of July, with Carol Daniels of KMOX radio in St. Louis. The main subject of the interview was flag etiquette. Her questions were not only pertinent to flag etiquette for the holiday, but also for any day.

Q. Our daughter met the "man of her dreams" a year ago on the Fourth of July when she was at a party at a friend's house. She thinks she will get a ring this Fourth of July and then wants a wedding next year on the Fourth of July.

Q. My parents always taught us kids to be quiet in church. That meant no talking -- and I mean no talking. I usually sit in the same pew on the same side of the church. Lately, there has been a couple behind me who talk to each other at various times during the service. Sometimes they talk during a song or the sermon or even a prayer. It makes me wonder what they think or how they were raised. Not sure what I should do about it. Any suggestions?

Q. Help! Wedding for 175. People sent back for 150 to attend. Of the 150, 25 people did not show up or call. The cost of each sit-down dinner is $70, so that's $70 x 25 = $1750.
