Fewer than 40 percent of Illinois students meet new achievement marks

The Illinois State Board of Education released preliminary state-level scores from the first administration of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers assessment, also known as the PARCC test, on Wednesday. Less than 40 percent of Illinois students met or exceeded expectations as measured by the new statewide assessment.
