A man has been charged with driving under the influence after he drove into a lake Saturday morning near Caseyville, according to reports.
According to KMOV, emergency crews were called about 6 a.m. to Interstate 255 near mile marker 21. Caseyville firefighters found the driver of a Volkswagen sedan coming out of the lake when they arrived.
The driver, whose identity was not immediately released, was later arrested on a DUI charge, KMOV reported.
Police said the car went about 30 yards into the brush near the highway, and the lake was shallow enough for the driver to walk away without any injuries, KMOV reported.
